Combines traditional basketry and contemporary fine crafting. Baskets are created using paper coils forming the coils into limitless shapes by manipulating coil placement and applying pressure to the coils.  Watercolors and acrylic paint can be used to replicate patterns from the native American Indian tribes or used in contemporary, abstract, representational styles or use your own treasures (broken jewelry, beads, feathers, cloth, paper, yarn, etc. etc.).

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid/paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used.  You’ll take home an artwork on wood that can be displayed in your home. this is a really exciting medium and the possibilities and combinations are endless

Recycled art collage or assemblage.  Using materials that would usually be discarded you will create beautiful at least one piece of art that can be hung on the wall or placed on a table or stand.  Bring some of your favorite materials – paper bags, plastic bags, metal scraps, wood, discarded jewelry, cardboard. If possible, Bring your glue guns
